🌿 Overview
Purpose: Conditions hair, reduces shedding, and boosts natural shine.
Dosha Focus: Vata
🪔 Ingredients
- 100 ml Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Dried Hibiscus Petals (Whole)
- 8–10 Curry Leaves (Whole)
Alternatively, you can also use Hibiscus flower powder and Curry leaf Powder.
⚗️ Preparation
- Warm coconut oil on low flame.
- Add hibiscus petals and curry leaves; gently infuse for 15 minutes until leaves crisp slightly.
- Cool completely and strain into a clean glass bottle.
💆 How to Use
Massage warm oil into scalp and along hair lengths. Leave for 30–60 minutes (or overnight) and shampoo as usual. Use 2–3× weekly.
🌸 Why This Works
Hibiscus (Japa) is traditionally used to support thicker-looking, glossy hair; its mucilage provides slip and softness. Curry leaves (Kadi Patta) are rich in antioxidants that help maintain scalp health. Coconut oil is a classic Ayurvedic base that penetrates the hair shaft to reduce protein loss.
🧴 Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a cool, dark place. Shelf life ≈ 3 months.
✨ Optional Add-ons
Add ½ tsp Fenugreek Seeds (lightly cracked) for extra slip and shine, or 2–3 drops Rosemary Essential Oil for aroma.

Japa (Hibiscus) and Nimba/Karivepatta (regional mentions of curry leaf) appear in traditional Ayurvedic and regional materia medica as keshya (hair-supporting) botanicals, while Nariyal Taila (coconut oil) is a classic base for hair taila formulations.
