🌿 Overview

Purpose: Soothes the scalp and supports restful evenings; leaves hair soft and nourished.
Dosha Focus: Vata (calming)

🪔 Ingredients

⚗️ Preparation

  1. Warm the oil(s) on the lowest flame (do not boil).
  2. Whisk in Brahmi and Jatamansi powders; keep on low heat for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Turn off heat, cover, and let infuse until cool. Strain through a fine cloth into a clean amber bottle.

💆 How to Use

At night, apply a small amount to scalp, temples, and hairline. Massage gently for 3–5 minutes. Leave on 30–60 minutes (or overnight) and cleanse next day. Use 2–3× weekly.

🌸 Why This Works

Brahmi is traditionally used as a medhya (mind-supporting) herb that soothes the scalp, while Jatamansi is prized for calming and grounding properties. A lightweight almond oil base carries the actives and adds softness and shine.

🧴 Storage & Shelf Life

Store in a cool, dark place. Shelf life ≈ 3 months.

✨ Optional Add-ons

Add 1–2 drops Lavender Essential Oil per 30 ml for a relaxing aroma, or blend in 10% Sesame Oil for a warmer feel in cooler months.

📜 Ayurvedic Reference

Brahmi (Bacopa/ Centella traditions) and Jatamansi (Nardostachys) are noted in Ayurvedic texts for manas (mind) and keshya (hair-supporting) actions; sesame and nut oils are classical bases for taila preparations.
